Location: Oxclose Community Academy, Washington.
Demeter has been providing water monitoring service to Oxclose Community Academy, a secondary school with over 1,000 pupils since 2011. Initially, our water monitoring system found that there was high and continuous water flow through the water meter which was costing the school over £20,000 a year.
We performed an extensive site investigation and carried out a comprehensive site survey. In addition, we undertook a mapping exercise of the underground water supply network. As a result, the water network system was improved by installing several valves. A water leak was detected, located, and repaired, while excessive and continuous use at a number of toilets was identified and rectified.
Total savings of £20,000 per year.
Surveyed and documented water network map.
Provided an updated water network plan.
Located and repaired an underground leak.
Located and rectified excessive water use at numbers of toilets.
"After struggling with a long standing problem with our water usage and bills we contracted Demeter to undertake a survey and resolve any leaks and or bursts to our water supply. Demeter were extremely professional and supportive in their approach and we found them to be extremely efficient in carrying out the work required. As a result of their expertise and advice we have managed to cut our water supply bills significantly and would confidently use Demeter in the future.” - Mr. A Cunningham, Head Teacher.
